How our online IQ assessment works

IQ Test Center is designed as an educational screening assessment. It uses multiple cognitive domains, age-aware variants, and transparent score interpretation so visitors can understand their results without confusing them with a formal clinical IQ evaluation.

Verbal reasoning

Language-based pattern recognition, analogies, definitions, and conceptual relationships.

Logical reasoning

Abstract rules, sequences, conditional reasoning, and pattern completion.

Quantitative reasoning

Number relationships, arithmetic reasoning, proportional thinking, and symbolic problem solving.

Visual-spatial reasoning

Mental rotation, geometric structure, spatial relations, and nonverbal pattern analysis.

Working memory

Holding and manipulating information while solving a task under time pressure.

Scoring principles

  • Each assessment variant is grouped by age band so children, teens, adults, and older adults are not interpreted as one population.
  • Questions are distributed across the five domains instead of relying on a single puzzle type.
  • Each item carries a weight set by its difficulty, and a domain score is the share of available weight earned — not simply the number answered correctly.
  • An unanswered item counts as incorrect rather than being removed, so leaving questions blank cannot raise a score.
  • Final results are shown as estimated cognitive performance, an indicative percentile, and a domain pattern, not as a clinical diagnosis.
  • Age-banded conversion tables are modelled rules, not norms calibrated from a representative standardization sample. Reports explain those limits clearly.

What makes this different from a quiz

A quick quiz often uses a small set of pattern questions and produces an inflated score for entertainment. IQ Test Center separates item types by cognitive domain and explains the result as an estimate with limitations.

The test is timed, saves answers during the session, and returns a profile that highlights relative strengths and growth areas. The purpose is practical self-education, not gatekeeping or diagnosis.

For formal school, clinical, employment, or legal decisions, use an assessment administered by a licensed professional. Our Scientific Disclaimer explains those limits in more detail.

Start with only your age. The assessment is free to take; unlocking the full report — including your exploration directions — is a one-time payment afterwards. This is an IQ-style educational assessment: directions are broad suggestions based on performance in five task types, and are not professional, clinical, educational-placement, or employment advice.
